They don't have the guts to put the truth out there for the public, are too scared to 'get involved' or don't have the strength to put up with harassment and threats from the people you shouldn't be buying from (not if you want an ethical breeder). My daddy raised me better than that- and I couldn't live with myself if I knew sitting down and shutting up will hurt someone, not when I could have stopped it. So here's info you need to make an informed decision. We don't do this to promote sales of our own dogs- it's rare day we have any litters planned. We're just tryng to save the dogs- and save uninformed buyers from themselves.

Please be patient- I've got a pretty full slate these days and getting that site up is taking me time. If anyone would like to volunteer to help, please let me know! I highly recommend that any person considering purchasing or selling a dog from/to this kennel or person(s) contact the AKC regarding suspension information, Google all names for information on pending lawsuits, perform reverse directory searches, check public registries for criminal convictions related to purebred dogs and speak with other breeds and clubs in the same breed. Already a victim? Contact us, we may be able to help offer some advice and put you in touch with others who have been defrauded. WE ALSO URGE YOU TO CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY AND FILE CHARGES. Unless action is taken there is no incentive for her to stop. Protect yourself, protect your dogs and demand to see photo identification. Misrepresentation to fraudulently purchase a dog valued over $400 is GRAND THEFT in California (CA Penal Code Sec 484). If she's used afalse identity to acquire one of your AKC registered dogs, you have recourse!
All information obtained by BKAA was obtained through LEGAL PUBLIC RECORDS searches. Yes, it took time and a lot of leg work- most information is not available over the phone. They accept cash only, will not allow buyers/seller to see their home (meet in public places- usually Modesto area Starbucks) and have shown a complete and total disregard for the sport of purebred dogs. Copies of the 100 + documents I have relating to them are available on request- free to kennel/breed clubs, cost of actual copy and postage to individuals to offset expenses (we've had a LOT of requests!). All documents are verifiable records and sworn testimony- no heresay, no opinion, just the cold, hard facts.
Concerned you may be dealing with this person?? We have compiled a list of phone numbers and addresses she uses (as well as aliases such as above) and we'll share- just ask. We recommend using www.whitepages.com, for FREE reverse phone and address checks. I can also fax documents but it's better if you see them in person to verify their origin. Don't take my word for it- look at the evidence and decide for yourself.
Karen occasional enjoys posting completely fictional information about me in public forums and more recently, on a site using my kennel name and stolen copyrighted photos. She attempts to sound credible by citing a Livermore Police officer's name- I have been in contact with LPD and they are not amused. Neither, I am sure, is the officer in question. The matter is in the hands now of the Sacramento Sheriff's Department (2010-8004933) and Livermore Police Department. The big difference here is that I can back up everything I say with written court verified copies- she can't. Stanislaus County- Felony Fraud (purebred dogs) case# 165299 (three counts consolodated into one case) Karen Denise Tripp, convicted. Arrested under the alias Lisa Banchero additional aka's Lisa Royce/Curtis) in Monterey County on 3/14/91 (yes, I have a copy of this court certified document)

Karen Hallum v Bill Johnson (stanislaus co SC300319) Karen attempted to sue a puppy buyer to either get cash or the dog back- LOST.
Sue & Hoa Duong v Karen Hallum (stanisluas co sc300547) judgment entered against Karen for $650 (puppy sale)
Micheal & Beth Mora v Karen Piazza (stanislaud co sc303415) judgment entered against Karen for $500 (puppy sale)
Dwayne Reeves & Darlene Lopez v Karen Tripp (stanislaus co sc300520) judgment entered against Karen for $487 (for aborting plaintiff's dog's litter)
Friedelore Yanz v Karen Tripp (stanislaus co sc358358) judgment entered against Karen for $588.35 (Karen used plaintiff's credit card for veterinary services under an assumed name)
theres more...but may as well just give you an idea of whats out there. In most of the above cases, Karen did not even bother to show up and was found guilty in absentia, there are no records indicating the judgments were ever paid.
Like I said- court certified copies, stamped and everything from the local jurisdictions.the alleged cases she claims are my "criminal history" don't exist. feel free to check them out for yourself. Karen, in her usual MO, made false complaints that were found to be without merit and not even investigated. yeah, there's my big bad criminal history- nothing but another event that only happened in her head. funny, huh?
RE: Kada's Treasured Akitas, London OH- sick is all I can say about their program. how anyone can believe that breeding a petstore bitch who was sick every day of her life and let her bleed out to death over an eight week period is nothing short of cruelty. From their About Us page:
Kada was sick every day, but there were days that you could not tell. Kada never did anything wrong. She was a good girl, and we loved her a lot. When Kada was getting ready to turn two, the vet said it was time to let her go because she was in too much pain, but my mother told him that she could not let her go. The vet told my mother to let her have a litter of puppies that way she had a puppy from her.
My mother let Kada have some puppies. Kada had eleven puppies, but two died. We had nine healthy puppies from her. Kada passed away when the puppies turned eight weeks old. She died of internal bleeding from the puppies.
Sick and twisted. This poor, poor dog lived a life of severe pain for two years only to be destroyed for greed.
The incredulous claims made on their site are a nightmare of misinformation- overexaggerated claims of size just to promote puppies to ppl who think bigger is better? Thirty inch and taller brood bitches? Are these mutant akitas? maybe that explains the price- all this pet shop sick bitch lineage can be yours for the low low price of $1250.00! The things people will do for money make me physically ill. Please don't assist their delusions and cruelty by buying from Kada's Treasured Akitas (PLEASE do not confuse this so called kennel with Cade's Akitas in Indiana due to a similar name. Cade's Akitas is a kennel we respect)

Big red flags. as I'm embroiledi nmy own issues with them (refusal to hand over registration papers due on finsihed bitches, I am hearing back from other folks who have been stiffed on sales of dogs and who have bought show ogs only to have th eterms change constantly and never receive papers of their own. we'll keep updating this spot as more info arrives. in th emeantime BE CAUTIOUS in all dealing with this kennel Cindy seems to have a very selective memory about exactly what agreements have been reached regarding stud services, dog sales and, if you're an agent, handling invoicing. Despite numerous written communications by electronic and regular mail stating terms and agreements explicitly, they've arbitrarily decided not to honor any of them. Updates and scanned copies of documentation will be available by Aug 25.
At Black Knight we are not afraid of the truth, and if by providing this information freely to the breed community we save EVEN ONE DOG or EVEN ONE PERSON from the same heartache experienced by others we have done our duty to our breed and to the public.
NEWS! Karen's attempt to acquire a restraining order to stop me from sharing the truth with the public was DENIED. New info from my research for this case; available for the asking, or I can point you in the right direction to get your own copies direct from the sources.
Want more info on the whole "UKC" registered angle? To understand the heart of it, go to thier website and register a dog. Any dog. Make up a name bc according to their legal department you can call it anything you want even if it's already registered somewhere else under another name and different ownership! Sound impossible? It's business as usual for UKC and I've got a written statement from their legal department to back that up. Think about the operating practices of the registry of your dog's "papers" before you buy!
