 RE: ROYALTY AKITAS. Don Van Dermeyer-  this kennel aquired a number of intact dogs and bitches from another kennel who was closing its doors- apparently DREAM CATCHER AKITAS didn't put a lot of concern into where their animals were going (including one abandoned for over 2 years to a hander in SoCal). These dogs are being repeately bred now in what the new owner calls his "New business"- do the math folks, 6 litters listed on puppyfind within a four month period out of six bitches and three studs. Is this who you want to do business with?  He also claims all litters are registred AKC/registerable AKC but  one bitch, named TANGO (who knows what supposed registered name she is going by these days) was sold by Canadian owners on a pet/spay agreement to Karen Hallum (using false information to get the bitch), who then subsequently sold this 'registered' bitch to Royalty Akitas.  "DON" is well aware the bitch has no valid registration and that no suspended person may sell/transfer a registered dog. I have been in contact with the prio owners in Canada for some time and they state the bitch has never been registerable. "DON" claimed by phone to be "breeding to meet demand"-and intends to be a high volume breeder. These statements were made by Don to me personally by phone.

* News- we're received credible information about this 'kenne; from a former employer and are absolutely disgusted.  we've also received an emailed cease and desist letter from an attorney claiming to represent Mr VanDermeyer.  A strongly worded response was prepared and delivered- We don't run from the truth here. never hav, never will. 

RE; MASA MUNE AKITAS +all aliases copies of all Karen's records are being scanned and will be available online FREE to the world!  Please be patient- I've got a pretty full slate these days and getting that site up is taking me time. If anyoen would like to volunteer to help, please let me know!   I highly recommend that any person considering purchasing or selling a dog from/to this kennel or person(s) contact the AKC regarding suspension information, Google all names for information on pending lawsuits, perform reverse directory searches, check public registries for criminal convictions related to purebred dogs and speak with other breeds and clubs in the same breed. Already a victim? Contact us, we may be able to help offer some advice and put you in touch with others who have been defrauded. WE ALSO URGE YOU TO CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY AND FILE CHARGES.    Unless action is taken there is no incentive for her to stop. Protect yourself, protect your dogs and demand to see photo identification. Misrepresentation to fraudulently purchase a dog valued over $400 is GRAND THEFT in California (CA Penal Code Sec 484). If she's used afalse identity to acquire one of your AKC registered dogs, you have recourse!

All information obtained by BKAA was obtained through LEGAL PUBLIC RECORDS searches. Yes, it took time and a lot of leg work- most information is not available over the phone. They accept cash only, will not allow buyers/seller to see their home (meet in public places- usually Modesto area Starbucks) and have shown a complete and total disregard for the sport of purebred dogs. Copies of the 100 + documents I have relating to them are available on request- free to kennel/breed clubs, cost of actual copy and postage to individuals to offset expenses (we've had a LOT of requests!). All documents are verifiable records and sworn testimony- no heresay, no opinion, just the cold, hard facts.

Concerned you may be dealing with this person?? We have compiled a list of phone numbers and addresses she uses (as well as aliases such as above) and we'll share- just ask. We recommend using www.whitepages.com, for FREE reverse phone and address checks. I can also fax documents but it's better if you see them in person to verify their origin. Don't take my word for it- look at the evidence and decide for yourself.

RE: Kada's Treasured Akitas, London OH-  sick is all I can say about their program.  how anyone can beleive that breeding a petstore bitch who was sick every day of her life and let her bleed out  to death over an eight week period is nothing short of cruelty.  From their About Us page:

Sick and twisted.  This poor, poor dog lived a life of severe pain for two years only to be destroyed for greed.

The incredulous claims made on their site are a nightmare of misinformation- overexaggerated claims of size just to promote puppies to ppl who think bigger is better? Thirty inch and taller brood bitches? Are these mutant akitas? maybe that explains the price-  all this pet shop sick bitch lineage can be yours for the low low price of $1250.00! The things people will do for money make me physically ill. Please don't assist their delusions and cruelty by buying from Kada's Treasured Akitas   (PLEASE do not confuse this so called kennel with Cade's Akitas in Indiana due to a similar name. Cade's Akitas is a kennel we respect)

* Update. I'm very glad we copied and pasted the info fromthe About Page- they've removed it to try to cover up their activities. thakfully, I've got dated webshots. Contact me for a file copy if you need to see it for yourself . We also have the emails from these folks, attempting to justufy their cruelty.  All yours for the asking!
