BLACKLIST
As many of you already know, I've been working with We The People Pets to help qualify seven initiatives to the ballot, primarily the Pet Animal Protection Act. These measures will help protect the animals we love, ensure public resource accountability, defend fair practices for California farmers and promote responsible pet ownership. We have an answer and we have a way; help us make it a reality.
If you live in California, SIGN THE PETITIONS we are now circulating. We need a specific number of signatures in a very limited time to qualify these measures for public vote. You can also help by volunteering to join us on petition drives.
If you live outside of California, spread the word. Let our government know we won't be blindly led by special interests groups with multimillion dollar budgets- our families, including the ones with fur and feathers,
will be heard.

How can you help? Encourage all of your members to go to this website:
Download the petitions, read the directions VERY carefully, print out the initiatives and go out and gather signatures. Every signature counts. Put a link to the website on your club site, newsletter and e-groups. Spread the word to everyone you know. Encourage other groups. Dog organizations aren't alone in this. Many groups who understand how our rights are adversely affected by poor legislation are now joining in and lending their support. Word will be out soon of the many organizations from all walks of life that are working to qualify these initiatives for the 2008 ballot. Strength, as they say, is in numbers.
We have very limited time. Your cooperation is necessary to accomplish this Herculean task. We must gather 650,000 signatures by April 2008. We know that if everyone pulls together, we can do it! We can gain back our rights now or face years of battling county to county. With one major push, we can send these “carpet bagger” special interest animal rights terrorist groups packing out of our state! We can't do it alone. Can we count on your support?
The Seven Initiatives
Animal Property Act: This is an amendment to our constitution that will define animals as property. Having animals defined as property will empower owners to make all decisions regarding the care of their animal. This amendment will also prevent seizure of animals by government or private entities without due process in court.
Property Protection Law: Affords greater protection of property and will challenge all “limit laws” against any owned property.
Freedom From Sterilization Act: Protects humans and animals from any government mandate of forced sterilization.
RFID Act: Protects humans and animals from government or otherwise mandated RFID microchips and a disturbing new technology; RFID ink, which can tattoo any person or animal with a 15 digit barcode with invisible or visible ink. (RFID = radio frequency identification device)
Animal License Law (ALL): Provides for a cap on licensing fees and permits. These may not exceed $50 all inclusive, with 50% reduction for all those on Medicare and Medi-Cal. This law will prevent the ability of state, county and city governments to overtax pet owners and will help promote compliance for rabies licensing where required.
NO-KILL BILL or the Pet Animal Protection Act (PAPA): This is the solution to the gross mismanagement of our state-funded shelters which has resulted in the needless killing of lost, abandoned and feral animals. It puts into place the proven policies of No-Kill sheltering in which taxpayers’ monies are spent to save animals instead of killing them. The culture of death perpetuated for over a century by agencies like the Humane Society of the
