TARA Tikihut Akita Rescue
TARA saves hundreds of lives a year through adoptions, foster homes, behavioral counseling, public education and other tireless efforts for the sake of akitas in need. Helping rescue is easier than you think.
TARA accepts gifts of supplies, equipment, food, medicines and toys as well as cash donations- even gently used items are welcome. Foster homes are always needed. If you think you may be able to help in any way, please let us know! And don't forget to mention the joys of a "quality pre-owned Akita" to your friends!
If you've stopped by for puppies, we're sorry, but we have nothing right now and no plans for a litter until late fall. We are still willing to help you find a new best friend from other reputable breeders, all you have to do is ask!
***We currently have a juvenile male available- he's looking for a new home without cats. Obedience trained, housebroken, crate trained, UTD on shots, good with kids, neutered. Contact us for current photos and details.
